The App does not need Wifi to connect to the coder.
Once the App and your phone are connected to a Marsh 241D coder, you can perform all the Coder Control and Code Editing you need without any connection to the internet.
The App does need your phone to be connected to the internet from time to time, either over 3G, 4G, 5G, or over WiFi.
We know that sometimes it is difficult to get a signal inside a factory, and we know that often there is no WiFi inside the factory, so you may need to go to a different area, or even outside sometimes to get your phone connected to the internet. Because of this, we have made it not necessary for the App to be connected to both the internet and a Marsh 241D coder at the same time, although sometimes you might get your work done a little quicker if it is.
You will need to connect the App/phone to the internet to Buy & Allocate ribbon.
