The in-App Intelligent Troubleshooting facility might result in a recommendation to reset the M241D coder to its original settings, as shipped when new. We call this a "Factory Reset"
To perform a Factory Reset, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Power off the M241D coder
- Press and hold both buttons on the M241D HMI panel
- Whilst pressing both these buttons, power on the coder
- Wait for the Status Indicator to change from flashing red to solid green (takes approximately 5 seconds), then release both buttons
- Within 3 seconds of releasing both buttons, press and hold the Mode button (only) again
- The Status Indicator will start alternating between green and red
- Keep holding the Mode button until the Status Indicator is only flashing red (approximately 5 seconds), then release the Mode button
- The coder will commence its Factory Reset process, which will take several minutes, during which time, the Status Indicator will flash red and progress will be displayed on each green indicator I, II and III
- Once the Factory Reset process is complete, the M241D coder will restart, the Status Indicator will illuminate and a small amount of ribbon will be advanced.
