Coders can have up to 48 ribbons allocated to them. Once allocated, they can be 'reclaimed' and returned to your marshcoding account so that they can be allocated to a different coder. Please see How do I reclaim allocated Ribbon? for further information.
Whilst it is possible to allocate up to 48 ribbons to a coder with a maximum of 24 ribbons per allocation, it is recommended to make smaller allocations, even though you could ‘reclaim’ allocated ribbons from a coder and return them to your marshcoding account.
It is advised that smaller allocations are made to prevent the loss of allocated ribbon in the event of a coder fault that requires a replacement PCB.
Allocated ribbons are not covered by the Marsh 241D Equipment Warranty Policy. Please see section 3.1 of the Warranty and Returns Policies for information specific to allocated ribbons.
